2018 Summer Transfer Bridge Program

The 2018 summer Transfer Bridge Program (TBP) is a new transitional program offered to incoming transfer students to UNC Charlotte.

The purpose of the program is for students to effectively utilize academic advising and increase familiarity with other campus resources during TBP. By the end of the summer session, students will have earned up to 4 credit hours moving them closer to graduation, be able to identify academic and social support networks, demonstrate financial literacy with scholarship and financial aid resources, as well as build peer relations to help in the transition to the University.

Why Should I Attend?

The transition from one college to the next can be overwhelming, and we want to help students navigate this transition. By participating in the TBP, students will be able to select one of two progression courses needed in competitive majors (STEM and Business). The faculty teaching the Summer II Math 1241 (Calculus I) and Accounting 2121 will have smaller classes with the majority of students being newly admitted transfer students. Both classes will be Monday through Thursday from Also, students will have the option to enroll in a 1 credit courses that will satisfy their oral communications requirement for general education while receiving hands-on experience exploring campus and the resources and support programs for students.
